Start with a three week pilot

Helping Secondary School Students Find Their Voice and Build Confidence – Starting with a Low-Risk Three-Week Pilot

Many young people in your school struggle to express their thoughts and feelings, leading to withdrawal, disconnection, and low confidence.
Finding Your Voice is a structured, twelve-week programme designed to create a safe space for reflection, communication, and connection, beginning with a supported three-week pilot to see the impact before committing fully.

Designed

to work

within school life

SUPPORTED IMPLEMENTATION

The programme begins with supported delivery, helping staff and students become confident with the circle before greater ownership is introduced.

STAFF TRAINING

School staff receive practical facilitator training, giving them the confidence and understanding to support circles and continue the programme within the school.

BUILT FOR SCHOOLS

Clear resources, structured sessions and a straightforward delivery model help Finding Your Voice fit alongside existing pastoral and personal development provision without creating unnecessary workload.

What are you seeing in your students?

WITHDRAWING

Some young people struggle to put what they're thinking or feeling into words, making it easier to stay quiet than speak.

DISCONNECTED

Finding it harder to connect with others, feel understood or experience a genuine sense of belonging.

LACKING CONFIDENCE

Even when young people have something to say, fear of judgement or getting it wrong can stop them contributing.

How Finding Your Voice Works

Finding Your Voice is a structured twelve-week programme delivered in a circle of up to twelve students, for approximately one hour each week.

Through guided reflection, journalling and carefully structured conversation, students are given the space to explore their thoughts, express themselves and listen to others.

As the programme progresses, students gradually take greater ownership of the circle, building confidence, communication and the ability to hold space for one another.

Start with a three-week pilot

Finding Your Voice can begin with a simple three-week pilot, giving your school the opportunity to experience the programme with a circle of up to twelve students before committing to the full twelve weeks.

Scott personally facilitates each of the first three weekly sessions, while school staff have the opportunity to observe the approach and see how students respond.

If your school chooses to continue, the pilot simply becomes the first three weeks of the full Finding Your Voice programme — so nothing is repeated and the students’ journey continues.

Helping young people find the confidence to be heard.

Finding Your Voice is a 12-week programme that gives young people a structured space to reflect, express themselves and connect with others, while supporting your school's existing personal development and PSHE provision.

Young people don’t always need another answer. Sometimes they need somewhere to be heard.

Schools are supporting increasingly complex pastoral needs, often with limited time and already stretched staff. When young people struggle to express what they’re thinking or feeling, support can become reactive rather than preventative.

Finding Your Voice creates a structured space for those conversations to happen earlier, giving young people the opportunity to reflect, express themselves and connect with others.

How it works in your school

Finding Your Voice is designed to be introduced with support, without adding unnecessary pressure to already busy staff.
The programme begins with supported delivery, allowing school staff to observe the early sessions and become familiar with the approach.
Staff are then trained to support and facilitate future circles, with students gradually taking greater ownership as the programme progresses.
The aim is simple: to establish a structure that works within your school and can become increasingly sustainable over time.

Your questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about bringing Finding Your Voice into your school. From the three-week pilot and staff commitment to safeguarding, training and what happens next.

How does the three-week pilot work?

The pilot gives your school an opportunity to experience Finding Your Voice before committing to the full programme. Scott facilitates the first three weekly sessions with a circle of up to twelve students, allowing staff to see the programme in practice and consider whether it is right for their school.

How much time and workload does this create for school staff?

Finding Your Voice has been designed to work within the realities of a busy school. Sessions run for approximately one hour each week, with clear resources and a structured delivery model designed to keep additional preparation and administration to a minimum.

How is safeguarding managed?

Finding Your Voice works alongside the school's existing safeguarding policies and procedures. A designated member of school staff remains responsible for safeguarding, and any concerns arising through a session are managed through the school's established safeguarding processes.

How does Finding Your Voice fit alongside existing pastoral and PSHE provision?

Finding Your Voice is designed to complement, rather than replace, a school's existing pastoral and personal development provision. It provides dedicated time and structure for reflection, expression, communication and connection that can sit alongside the support already available to students.

How will we know whether the programme is making a difference?

Impact can be explored through student feedback, attendance and facilitator observations, alongside a simple end-of-programme questionnaire. The aim is to give schools useful evidence of changes in areas such as confidence, communication, self-awareness and connection without creating unnecessary additional administration.
